Review: UK Functional Safety IEC / EN61508 Seminar, July 3, 2019, Birmingham

In Industrial Automation, systems and devices must comply with international Functional Safety standards.

MESCO and NXP therefore informed about the basics of standards-compliant product development (IEC / EN 61508) - this time at the Arrow Electronics Workshop in Birmingham, UK.

Peter Bernhardt, Head of Sales and Marketing at MESCO, gave valuable information on the Functional Safety market, the contexts of the standards to be complied with, and practical information on the implementation of hardware and software developments. He also provided important basics for Functional Safety Management and introduced new MESCO Design Packages.

NXP explained the advantages of their pre-certified products and libraries, informed about the new microcontroller families for use in future Functional Safety products.

Review SPS IPC Drives 2019

Industry 4.0 and Digitalization were the most important topics at the SPS 2019 in Nuremberg.
