MESCO Engineering, Inc.
certified as a PROFINET Competence Center

MESCO Group continues to expand its expertise in the field of industrial communications in the USA. MESCO Engineering, Inc. has been accredited by PI (PROFIBUS & PROFINET International) as a PROFINET Competence Center (PICC). As such, MESCO can now offer customers in North America technical expertise and support for the software and hardware development of industrial Ethernet devices with PROFINET.

PROFINET IO is a standard for the communication of I/O controllers and devices approved by PI. The technology is based on Ethernet as a communication medium and is used for the transmission of I/O data, parameters, alarms, etc.

In addition to the software and hardware development of industrial Ethernet modules with PROFINET RT and IRT, the range of services offered by MESCO Engineering, Inc. also includes solutions for supporting several Industrial Ethernet protocols and device tests in its own Competence Center fieldbus laboratory. Due to the experience with different stacks and hardware solutions, the service can be individually adapted to the customer's requirements. Another focus is on consulting and electronics development for functional safety, specifically PROFIsafe.

In Germany, MESCO has been a PI Competence Center for more than 20 years and provides its customers with comprehensive support from consulting – via the specifications for the implementation of Ethernet hardware with PROFINET software – to support for certification.
