MESCO implements generic robot interfaces
Modern controls simplify the programming of robots and motion controllers with smart tooling. In order to be able to use these functions consistently, i.e. across controls and depending on each other, the respective robot controller must support this generic interface.
This article describes the background and how MESCO can support robot manufacturers in the hardware and software realization of these specific, generic interfaces.
Summary
The Siemens TIA Portal provides access to connected robotics controllers. This results in the continuous integration and the logical unity.
Robotics and motion control functions of the controllers simplify programming, commissioning and diagnosis of motion control functions. They can control and monitor kinematics of multiple interpolishing axes. Thus, robots can be set up and operated in the controllers across manufacturers.
MESCO supports robot manufacturers in compliance with standards and implements these specific robot interfaces in hardware and software from concept to conformity confirmation.
