Review: UK Functional Safety IEC / EN61508 Seminar, July 3, 2019, Birmingham.

In industrial automation, systems and devices must comply with the international Functional Safety Standards.

MESCO and NXP therefore informed about the basics for a standard-compliant product development (IEC / EN 61508) – this time at the Arrow Electronics Workshop in Birmingham, UK.

Peter Bernhardt, Head of Sales and Marketing at MESCO, provided valuable information on the Functional Safety market, the interrelationships of the standards to be complied with, and practical advice on how to carry out hardware and software developments. He also conveyed important basics for Functional Safety Management and introduced new MESCO design packages.

The company NXP explained the advantages of their pre-certified products and libraries, provided information about the new microcontroller families for use in future Functional Safety products.

In order to serve also the interested parties from the UK, this seminar took place in Birmingham, UK.
